„Fair Trade“ begins at our doorstep
Bohlsener Muehle stands for supporting the region in its choice of raw materials as well as its respect for tradition and authenticity. We not only encourage expanding organic agriculture and the development of new regional economic cycles, we also work on sustaining our beautiful cultural landscape in the “Lueneburger Heide”.

Hösseringen is an open air museum village just south of Bohlsen, a wonderful place which preserves our heritage on nearly 10,000m2 of land, encompassing 26 buildings and approximately 45,000 articles from the period 1600 to 1950. We financially support the non-profit work of the museum which aims to serve as many people as possible. Recently we contributed to the building of an historical bake house.
We also assist the project „Klasse 2000“. The project teaches parents, relatives and friends to be able to bring moral values closer to the children. This takes place in the Gerdau elementary school (5 km from Bohlsen) and aims to help children more easily find their place in the world.
Economic success goes hand in hand with social and ecological responsibilities. We want to do our part; that is why we support a number of projects by donating goods and money.
We are a middle size, exclusively organic producing family business in Lower Saxony, Germany. Ours is one of the leading brands in muesli and cookies on the German natural food market. We mill flour, dehull spelt, produce flakes, run a fresh bakery delivering to approximately XX customers daily. We produce and sell our own commodities as well as other high quality organic raw materials to wholesalers and retailers in Europe and overseas. In addition to this we operate a modern industrial oven, able to produce large batches of private label product (crunchies, crackers and cookies) and offer, via the fresh bakery, production of customized goods for our regional customers.
